People Who Move change the World! Moving Day coming right up!
As I write this, I am nervous. Yes nervous!!! Nervous about making sure I type the right words.
First let me introduce myself, my name is Robin Rhea and I am the Development Manager for the Parkinson’s Foundation. I hail from Michigan but have recently moved to the great southwest to make it my new home! As part of this move, I found this amazing position with the Parkinson’s Foundation and I am privileged to be able to cover the states of Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico.
When I say it’s an amazing position, I MEAN IT IS AMAZING! I have met so many wonderful people and find their strength and perseverance awe inspiring. I find this especially true in the group that makes up Parkinson’s Place Las Vegas. They are an outstanding group of individuals who are committed to making life better for those with Parkinson’s. They have been a supportive group to the Parkinson’s Foundation and our Moving day Event. Together we would like to have you join us and be inspired and participate in Moving Day Las Vegas – A walk for Parkinson’s event.
Moving Day is more than a walk, it is a fun and inspiring fundraising event that unites families, friends and communities both large and small in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. This celebration of movement will feature a family friendly walk course, a kid’s area, a caregiver’s relaxation tent and a special Movement Pavilion featuring yoga, dance, Boxing and more. all proven to help manage the symptoms of PD.
It is ‘A day to move, a day to move others, a day that moves YOU!’

Parkinson’s Foundation in the state of Nevada. We are making a great impact in the state with significant investment in the areas of research and better care for people with Parkinson’s disease. In the Las Vegas community, we provided over $50,000 in materials and resources to people living with PD and funded a local nonprofit (Motorvation) with a $20,000 community grant! This is all possible through funds raised from Moving Day!
